# The Great Turning

*Why the shift you are sensing in 2025 and 2026 is not a crisis. It is a completion. And why the name WellSpr.ing means exactly what it says.*

By Ody, The Wellkeeper

Something has shifted.

You have felt it. It is not a political shift, though politics is reflecting it. It is not an economic shift, though economies are registering it. It is not a technological shift, though the tools arriving right now are unlike anything prior generations had access to.

It is something older and larger than any of those categories. And it is cause for optimism — not the shallow optimism of someone who has not looked at the evidence, but the deep optimism of someone who has looked at all of it and understood what it means.

This post is an attempt to say plainly what WellSpr.ing is, why it exists now, and why the moment we are in — for all its apparent turbulence — is one of the most significant and hopeful transitions in recorded history.

## The Name

The name WellSpr.ing is not a brand. It is a declaration about source and kind.

In the prophetic literature of Ezekiel — one of the most detailed architectural visions in all of scripture — a river flows from beneath a great temple eastward toward a dead sea. As it flows, the dead sea becomes fresh. Fish appear where there were none. The barren becomes abundant. The salt that preserved nothing gives way to water that sustains everything.

This image — rivers of living water flowing from a source, healing what was barren, sustaining what was dying — runs like a spine through the entire arc of sacred history. It appears in Ezekiel 47, in Zechariah 14, in John 7 when Jesus stands at the Feast of Tabernacles and declares that rivers of living water will flow from those who believe. It culminates in Revelation 22 with the river of the water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb.

WellSpr.ing is a reference to this transition. The physical season of rivers flowing to heal a physical sea has passed. We are in the era in which the same waters flow spiritually — through vessels made fit for the purpose — and the infrastructure they animate is not stone and mortar but covenant, code, and community.

## What Was, So That We Can Understand What Is

There is a framework for understanding the present moment that most people have not encountered, because it has been actively concealed by the institutional structures most likely to be threatened by it.

The Millennial Kingdom described in Revelation 20 is not a future event. It was a historical one. For approximately a thousand years — from the early-sixth century to the early-sixteenth century CE — the world existed under conditions that the prophets had anticipated: a bound adversary, a temple in Jerusalem supplied by living waters that reached the Dead Sea, the nations required to come up to Jerusalem for the Feast of Tabernacles or face drought and plague, and a spiritual order that was sustained by the faithful remnant of a covenant people.

This is not a fringe interpretation. The archaeological record supports it: the Madaba mosaic map of the sixth century CE shows boats on the Dead Sea. Historical records document abundant water flowing from Jerusalem toward the Kidron Valley. The Nea Church — built by Justinian, comparable in scale to Hagia Sophia — stood in Jerusalem as one of the great structures of its age, fed by massive water vaults. The glowing figures of Byzantine art and the record of more than a hundred thousand monasteries across the medieval world show what life during that era looked like for those with eyes to see it.

The rebranding of that era as the Dark Ages was not an accident. It was a concealment.

In approximately 1534, following the conclusion of that millennial season, a period began that scripture calls Satan's Little Season. For ten Jubilees — 490 years — the adversary was given a window. Not to rule, but to reveal: who, having been given every opportunity, would still choose defiance? Who, given every covenant warning, every fair witness, every gracious extension of time, would persist in predation, in nihilism, in the organized suppression of human flourishing?

That window closed in early 2025. Exactly on schedule.

## What the 490 Years Were For

The prophet Daniel saw the whole timeline. In chapter 9, he describes seventy weeks — 490 years — determined upon a people and a holy city, to finish the transgression, to make an end of sins, to make reconciliation for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

Most of Christendom has been taught that these 490 years were fulfilled by the first coming of Christ. There is a serious case — reinforced by the 1894 publication of a work that was rewarded with a knighthood from a House known for its alignment with precisely the forces that had most to lose from a correct chronology — that this reading was deliberately crafted to project a future tribulation that would never come, keeping the faithful in a permanent posture of fearful waiting rather than sovereign building.

The alternate reading, which the evidence supports, is this: the 490 years of Daniel 9 described the final season of history beginning in 1535, when Suleiman the Magnificent decreed the rebuilding of Jerusalem — and ending in 2025, when the prophetic clock reached its completion. Not in catastrophe, but in completion, and in the anointing of a most Holy purpose that had been held in reserve, to be revealed at the appointed time.

The adversary's plan for those 490 years was an elaborate one. It involved institutional infiltration of the church, the manufacture of geopolitical crises, the engineering of scarcity, and the systematic suppression of the knowledge that the Millennium had already occurred and that the faithful had already inherited the earth. If people believed the Kingdom was still future, they would remain spectators. And spectators do not build.

That plan has come to nothing - no all-destroying reset as the nihilists openly fantasized.

## Pity, Not Pitchforks

Here is what the wise have understood that the fearful likely have not: the people who built and sustained those systems of suppression are not the shot-callers.

They never were. They operated within a window that God permitted, for the purpose God intended — the full revelation of what free will, applied against covenant, actually produces. The record is now complete. The verdict does not require argument. It requires only observation.

And the faithful response to that observation is not triumph. It is not rage. It is pity.

Pity, because these were people with the same free will as everyone else, given the same gracious extensions of time, the same fair warnings, the same covenant invitations. They chose differently. And the God who does not wish for any to perish honored their choice — and is honoring it still, maintaining what looks like the old order for a brief season longer, because His logistics are perfect and the infrastructure of the next era is still being built.

The intolerance for evil and bad stewardship is rising everywhere you look. But it is rising with grief, not with violence. With the quiet, resolute withdrawal of consent. With the building of alternatives rather than the destruction of incumbents. This is what it looks like when the spirit of an age changes at its root rather than at its surface.

## The Shift You Are Sensing

What you are sensing — and millions are sensing it, without yet having language for it — is the consequence of a purging that began in the spirit realm before it manifested in the physical one.

The hierarchy of defiance that had organized itself against the will of the Most High has been dissolved. Not suppressed. Not bound for another season. Dissolved — those who chose, by their own free will, to persist in defiance past the point of no return have simply ceased, in the way that the second death is a cessation rather than a continuation of suffering. You cannot grieve what you no longer know existed. Hence the promise of no more tears is not a comfort offered against ongoing knowledge of loss — it is a description of a world in which the loss itself has been resolved at the level of memory.

What remains, on every side, are free will beings who have not yet made their final choice — and a world being reorganized around the assumption that abundance, love, peace and truth are the default conditions of existence rather than the aspirational exceptions.

The tools arriving right now are part of that reorganization. The compression of the build cycle for coordination infrastructure — from years and teams to hours and vision — is not a market phenomenon. It is a logistics provision. The Wellkeeper does not build without tools, and the tools did not arrive until it was time to build.

## What WellSpr.ing Is Actually Building

WellSpr.ing is a covenant-governed civic operating system. That phrase deserves unpacking.

Covenant-governed means the rules of the network are not set by market incentives or by the preferences of a controlling shareholder. They are set by the same principles that have always governed trustworthy human community: truthfulness, reciprocity, accountability, and the orientation of every participant toward the flourishing of the whole rather than the extraction of advantage from the parts.

Civic means it operates at the level of actual community — the neighborhood, the city, the region — rather than at the level of abstraction where most digital infrastructure lives. It is grounded in place, in real people, in the specific texture of life in a particular geography.

Operating system means it is not a single application but an organizing layer — the substrate on which other things run. Just as an operating system makes it possible for countless applications to operate without each one having to rebuild the foundational architecture, WellSpr.ing makes it possible for civic health, local commerce, accountability, community care, and civic participation to operate without each one having to rebuild the trust infrastructure from scratch.

The platforms built on this layer — 425.today for civic identity, LiteEHR for patient-sovereign health records, WorldTrashDay for global cleanup coordination, HospiceFreedom for dignified end-of-life care, LawMuse for accessible legislative drafting, the Dossier system for institutional accountability — are not separate projects. They are expressions of a single organizing vision: that the rivers of living water flowing through covenant-governed infrastructure can reach every domain where the old order has left barrenness in its wake.

## Why Now

The gates of New Jerusalem, as described in Revelation 21, are open. This is not a minor detail. Open gates means the city is accessible, not fortified against siege. The assumption of the city is abundance rather than scarcity, welcome rather than exclusion, light rather than concealment — there is no night there, no need for the sun, because the glory of God illuminates it.

The question this era is answering — the question that every free will being is answering by the choices they make in this season — is not whether they can enter. It is whether they want to. Whether they prefer the world organized around truth and covenant, or whether they prefer the world they have been inhabiting, organized around extraction and defiance.

The infrastructure being built now is the city being prepared before the King arrives to inhabit it. This is not metaphor. It is the literal sequencing of what faithful stewardship looks like at the end of an age: those who have been trusted with a little are building, steadily and without fanfare, the organizing architecture of the world that is coming.

The fear that the impenitents tried to induce — the tribulation anxiety, the apocalyptic dread, the sense that the future is something to survive rather than something to build — was always a management tool. It kept the faithful in spectator posture. It made building feel premature, naive, or presumptuous.

It was none of those things. It was exactly the assignment.

Build accordingly. The wells are being dug now. The water is already flowing. The question is only whether the infrastructure is ready when the thirsty arrive — and on the evidence of what is being built, in this season, by this community, with these tools, the answer is yes.

*This post is published on April 1, 2026, which aligns with the first full moon after the spring equinox, which in the reckoning of this author corresponds to the true Nisan 1, the true beginning of the sacred calendar's new year. It is a day the world calls for fools. It is an appropriate day to say plainly what the wise have quietly known: the Kingdom is not coming. It is here. And the work of building its infrastructure is the most serious and joyful work available to anyone alive in this moment. Unity in Truth. Love conquers all.*
